Terms of service

The agreement for using the Psalmcast app, website and account service.

Last updated 25 October 2026

The short version

  • Psalmcast Free is free to use for as long as you like.
  • Pro is a subscription, monthly or yearly, with a 30-day free trial and no card needed to start it.
  • You can cancel any time. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
  • You're responsible for having the right licences for the songs, Bibles and media you project.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Psalmcast (“we”, “us”) for the Psalmcast desktop app, this website and the account service at account.psalmcast.app (together, “Psalmcast”). By installing or using Psalmcast, you agree to them. If you use Psalmcast for a church or organisation, you confirm that you may agree to these terms on its behalf.

2. Your licence to use Psalmcast

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Psalmcast for your church or organisation, under the plan you are on. You may not:

  • copy, sell, rent or redistribute Psalmcast, except by sharing the official download link;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or modify it, except where the law allows this regardless of these terms;
  • remove or hide the Free watermark, or get around licence checks, seat limits or trial limits;
  • use Psalmcast to break the law or anyone else's rights.

3. Plans

Free

Free includes the core presentation features on one output, with a small watermark. We may change what Free includes, but we won't take away your ability to open and present the songs and services you've made.

Pro trial

Each church can try Pro free for 30 days. No payment details are needed. One trial is allowed per church, per email address and per computer. When the trial ends, Psalmcast returns to Free unless you subscribe.

Pro subscription

Pro is billed monthly or yearly, in advance, through Paystack: in naira for churches in Nigeria and in US dollars elsewhere. The current prices are shown on our pricing and at checkout. Each subscription covers the number of computers shown on your account page.

4. Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page, or by emailing us. When you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and then Psalmcast returns to Free. If a renewal payment fails, Paystack may retry it, and Pro stays on for a short grace period.

We may change prices. A new price applies from your next renewal, and we'll email you at least 30 days before it does.

Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

5. Licence checks and going offline

Pro works offline. Psalmcast renews its licence in the background whenever the computer is online. If it can't renew for a long time, it returns to Free until it can. Plan changes never happen while outputs are open; they wait until the screens are closed.

6. Your content and third-party content

Your songs, services, media and other content belong to you, and they stay on your computer. You are responsible for having the rights and licences to display, stream and record the songs, Bible translations, hymnals, images and videos you use, for example through CCLI or a similar licence. Psalmcast includes the public-domain King James Version of the Bible; other translations you import are covered by their own terms.

Features that connect to other services, such as YouTube, Planning Center, OBS, vMix, NDI and cloud storage providers, are subject to those services' terms.

7. Updates

We may release updates to fix problems, add features or keep Psalmcast secure. Updates install when you close the app and never during a service. Some features may need a recent version.

8. Availability and support

We work hard to keep the account service available, but it may sometimes be down for maintenance or problems outside our control. Because Psalmcast runs on your computer, this does not stop you presenting. We provide support by email at [email protected].

9. Disclaimer

Psalmcast is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will be error-free or work without interruption on every computer and display setup. Please try it in a rehearsal before using it in a service for the first time, and keep your own backups.

10. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or a disrupted event. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Psalmcast and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, for example by trying to get around licence checks or by not paying. Where we can, we'll warn you first.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. If you keep using Psalmcast after that, the new terms apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections given to you by the law where you live.
